The Foundation is actively involved in the enhancement of local parks, recreation projects and programs. It also provides much needed financial assistance to those families and individuals who may otherwise be unable to participate in recreational activities. The Desert Recreation Foundation now supports many new varied and unique programs, including:

Successful Projects include:
| Bob Hope Chrysler Classic Host and comedian George Lopez emceed the Grand Opening Ceremony for The First Tee of the Coachella Valley* (a national youth program that promotes character development and values through the game of golf). Mr. Lopez generously donated $5,000. |
